Temperatures are dropping here in Detroit and there is no better time to talk about our favorite comfort foods. Whether you are heading to or from a Detroit Red Wings or Lions game or you just want to get cozy during your lunchtime meal, the GMRENCEN has plenty of options.
Here are a few of our favorites:
Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
A fall staple, the pumpkin spice latte got an upgrade this year with real pumpkin pie spices. You can find it on Level One of the GMRENCEN.
Nothing says fall more than a hearty soup and Zoup does it right with its chicken pot pie soup with a crumbled pie crust. It’s so good they offer it every day in the CAFE on Level A.
Andiamo Lasagna Bolognese
Nobody does lasagna better than Andiamo’s with their delicate homemade pasta. Just like Nonna used to make! Andiamo is on Level A in the GM Wintergarden.
Chowder and butternut squash combined in one delicious starter? Just add Volt’s signature fireball cream to take this fall favorite to the next level. Head to Level Three in the Marriott to try it!
Joe Muer Boston Clam Chowder
Head to the cape with fresh Quahog clams, root vegetables, potatoes and bacon in Joe Muer’s take on New England Clam Chowder. You can enjoy it with a riverfront view on Level One in Tower 400.
Potbelly Steel Cut Oatmeal
A hearty breakfast is the key to a great day and a cup of warm oatmeal is the perfect morning retreat. Potbelly offers their steel cut oatmeal in raisins & brown sugar; banana, walnut & brown sugar; or apple, cranberry, walnut & brown sugar. Head over to Tower 300 on Level One and start your morning right.
Panera Bread Cinnamon Roll
To end the list on a sweet note, Panera Bread’s freshly baked cinnamon roll is irresistible. Head to Level A in the GM Wintergarden to enjoy this treat.
